Synech Justil (1179-1258 Reformed) was a researcher and professor at the University of Jektan. He was most famous for his study of the ecology of Tempest, much of which was done under such difficult circumstances that some of his findings still stand as the most recent information on the topic. Many of his original written works are kept in the environmentally-controlled wing of the library at the University where he worked. His most controversial writing, however, was to a letter to another researcher named Hendrin Soribar in 1216, in which he stated that "It is my opinion, based on the results of these years of study, that the Fae are a form of life unlike anything else native either to the skin of Khadaka or the Higher Realms; but I shudder to think of the implications of believing them to be from somewhere else."
